Face to face training sessions

Being a Personal Assistant

This session is to promote good practice but accepting that all employers are different, with different needs and gain information about what a personal assistant is and does.  Its presented by lead workers from the direct payment support service and an employer.

Employer Training

We will be holding sessions over Microsoft Teams for direct payment employers and a face-to-face session in the New Year. They aim to help new and experienced employers learn and gain more knowledge about how to be a good employer and meet employer responsibilities.

The dates of the sessions will be:

  • 10th January 2023, Master class on Microsoft Teams online 10.30am to 12.30pm
  • 10th January 2023, Starting out on Microsoft Teams online 1.30pm to 3.30pm 
  • 8th February 2023 Starting out 1.30pm to 3.30pm, Dolphin Centre in Darlington
  • 9th February 2023 Master class 11am to 1pm, Dolphin Centre in Darlington

Each session will be approximately 2 hours long. There is a recording and a learning book of the employer training for anyone who isn’t able make it to the meetings.

Online Training

There are some online training courses through a company called iHASCO.  iHASCO offer a wide range of courses.  After the completion of each course, you will receive a certificate.
