Accessibility

The Independent Living Hub is used as a base for people to meet, socialise, enjoy new activities, meet new friends and progress their personal development. It is located in a single storey building with ramped access, electric doors, and accessible toilets (including a hoist if required).

There is a computer/administration room, an internet café area, a large kitchen with adjustable height work surfaces, a main activity/training room and a quiet study. There is also a small meeting room, a ‘chill out’/ relaxation room, a sensory garden and a ‘grow your own’ space.

Anyone accessing Hub sessions or Carer breaks can make use of all of the facilities.

Contact the Independent Living Hub on 01325 254840 or email David Thomas (david.thomas@darlingtondisability.org)

How you can support us

As a local organisation we very much rely on the support of our local community. We support over 2,000 people every year to have greater choice and control and remove the barriers that disabled adults and children experience in their everyday lives. But we need YOUR help.
